So I’m sitting outside my “office” which is on the ocean at the Boca Beach Club next to the Boca Raton inlet, when I see the Goodyear Blimp flying around. Normally this is nothing out of the ordinary since it’s based in Pompano, it flies around almost daily. But today it kept going in a circle over this one spot not too far off shore.
I figured it was probably keeping it’s eye on a stranded boat awaiting a tug or a swimmer who got carried out too far, so I decided to investigate a little further.
What I saw was pretty amazing!
Two boats were on the water following a fairly large whale who’s tail would occasionally breach the surface as it was swimming further out to sea. I grabbed the video camera but wasn’t able to zoom in far enough to actually see the tail come out of the water, but it was a beautiful sight.
