The holidays have arrived at Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World in Orlando!
From the moment you arrive, the sounds of the season greet you at the front of the park and the iconic Mickey Mouse garden in front of the train station is transformed into a sea of holiday poinsettia plants.
As you walk around Main Street USA, holiday decorations transport you back in time to Christmases long ago. From meticulous window dressings to decorations overhead, there’s no mistaking that this truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Just check out that giant Christmas tree in the middle of town square!
While the Magic Kingdom looks great during the day, nighttime is when it comes alive with the spirit of the holidays. The warm glow of the lights on Main Street serves as a prelude to what lies ahead… the spectacular Cinderella Castle all decked out with thousands of twinkling lights that make one stop and look on in awe.
Each evening, just after sundown, Anna, Elsa and the characters from Frozen assemble on the castle’s forecourt, for a seven-minute show called “A Frozen Holiday Celebration.” Projections, fireworks, and music all culminate in the transformation of the Magic Kingdom’s iconic structure into a frozen ice castle.
Check out the show and the transformation in this video I took on November 11, 2017:
If you’re attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year, be sure to wear your holiday finest!
