Busch Gardens is set to welcome Tigris, a triple-launch coaster at the Tampa, FL theme park in Spring 2019 according to an announcement this morning.
Tigris will catapult riders through an exhilarating array of looping twists with forward and backward motion, breath-taking drops, a 150-foot skyward surge, and an inverted heartline roll, all at more than 60 miles per hour. Tigris will race riders along more than 1,800 feet of steel track designed to mimic the awe-inspiring agility of the world’s largest and most powerful cat –the tiger.
When complete, Tigris will be the tallest launch coaster in Florida not to mention a great addition to the existing lineup of roller coasters at Busch Gardens.
Tigris is actually the Sky Rocket II manufactured by Premier Rides and is operational at other Busch Gardens / SeaWorld parks including Tempesto at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and the brand new Electric Eel at SeaWorld San Diego.
