Solid Cactus®, an award-winning web design company and total solutions e-commerce provider, announces that The Scranton Cultural Center has named its series of stand-up comedy shows “The Solid Cactus Comedy Club.” The comedy acts will take place on Fridays, with the first program beginning March 7th. The headliner will be comedian/rock musician Mark Eddie.
“We are honored that the Scranton Cultural Center has named their comedy series after us,” said Solid Cactus co-founder Scott Sanfilippo. “When they first mentioned that they would like to honor us with a performing series, we discussed options. It just seemed to both of our groups that a few good laughs are always welcome. The series grew from there.”
The Scranton Cultural Center will begin the series with Mark Eddie on March 7th, to be followed by Greg Hahn April 18th and Rocky LaPorte on May 2nd. “If this run is a success we hope to continue the series into the Fall,” said Matt Flynn, Executive Director of the Scranton Cultural Center. “Solid Cactus is a premier web site designer and generous corporate benefactor. They are developing a completely redesigned, state-of-the-art web site and donating it to us. We are delighted to name this comedy series for Solid Cactus.”
The Scranton Comedy Club will take place in Shopland Hall on the 4th floor. Doors open at 7:00 PM with entertainment by Chris Barnes’ Comedy Dojo. The opening act starts at 9:00 PM and the headliners take the stage at 10:00 PM. The bar is open until midnight. The Scranton Cultural Center is located at 420 N. Washington Ave, Scranton, PA.
